G.I. Joe : The Rise Of Cobra

I Love GI Joe. Enjoy.

Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen

Finally the trailer is out for Transformers 2 : Rise of the Fallen. Enjoy.

Wall E

Pretty good, pretty fucking good but Waltz With Bashir is a better contender. 4 on 5.

The Visitor

Richard Jenkins deserves an Oscar nomination for his role in the urban drama about immigration in the aptly titled The Visitor. 3.5 on 5.

Waltz With Bashir

This is one of the best fucking experiences I've ever fucking had. Yes, more than a movie this is a fucking EXPERIENCE. 5 on 5.

Che Part 2 : Guerilla

Finally got my hands on Che Part 2: Guerilla. This was the follow up of Che Part 1 : The Argentine. Though not as capturing as The Argentine but was pretty good on its part. 3.5 on 5.

PFC day 2

PFC day one Movies

Revolutionary Road

The director of American Beauty and Road to Perdition has this year given one of the strongest emotional drama which is Revolutionary Road. Kate Winslet is a very good contender for this year's Best Actress Oscar along with Meryll Streep(Doubt, which i haven't seen yet) and Anne Hathaway(for Rachael Getting Married, which also i haven't seen yet). Leonardo di Caprio is as usual a very strong performer. But the showstoppers of the movie were Michael Shannon and David Harbour. 4 on 5

Che : The Argentine(part 1)

Benecio del Toro defintely deserved the best actor's award at Cannes Film Festival. I only got to see the first part of Soderberg's 4 hour long epic about the revolutionary Communist General of Fidel Castro, Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, which is "The Argentine". And it was one hell of an experience. Too good. Soderberg is defintely one of our times' best directors. I hope the world gets to see this phenomenon of a movie. And I hope I get to see the second part of this epic which is "Guerrila" as soon as possible. 5 on 5.

The Wrestler

Mickey Rourke! I had only seen his Domino and Sin City and i did not know what he would be capable of. But I was wrong. Mickey Rourke is not only a very very natural actor but also a brilliant one. Aronofsky is of course something else entirely. I have only seen his Pi as of yet and trust me when i say this, it is one of those flms which have truly INFLUENCED me. I don't think i can say anymore. 5 on 5.

Frost/Nixon

If not for Milk, then this would have been the only outstanding political drama of the year. Michael Sheen as Richard Nixon and Frank Langella as David Frost. Deadly. I don't want say much about this movie. But of course this is a Ron Howard film. 4 on 5.

Milk

Gus Van Sant's direction and Sean Penn's acting. What a beautiful collision!! One of the finest movies of our time. clearly. This was one heck of a movie. Wether it was James Franco or Emile Hirsch, every body was exceptional in this movie. And of course a very special mention for Josh Brolin who really was something else entirely. Excellent. Sean Penn deserves atleast a nomination in Best Actor's category and so does Josh Brolin in Best Supporting Actor's category. 4.5 on 5.

Gran Torino

Damn!! Clint Eastwood returns with a bang. This is one of my favorite movies this year. What a fine ending! What a fine script! What fine Acting! And Clint Eastwood's direction is brilliant as usual. I wouldn't be surprised if the old man gets the Best Actor's Oscar this year. I would be really really surprised if doesn't at least get a nomination. 4.5 on 5

Slumdog Millionaire

Yes I saw Slumdog Millionaire. Brilliant music. Outstanding cinematography. Natural acting. Fairy tale like script. Just a little flawed direction. Though overall a heart warming, beautiful film. Worth the Oscar hype definitely. 4 on 5.

God Dammit

God dammit , i didn't post anything in December. Probably cause i was gearing up for what you see next.
