Every now and then there comes a movie that you need to watch. This is that movie. After the somewhat panned Angelina starrer Changeling here is Gran Torino. Eastwood acts here for the first time after the classic oscar looting Million Dollar Baby. The story of a veteran who needs to change his outlook. Can't wait till December

Damn. In many years there comes a movie that SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF YOU. This is that movie. You will have at least 3 near heart attacks. At least. Not recommended for the pregnant and weak hearted. 4.5 on 5.

American Graffiti

George Lucas' forgotten into oblivion timeless classic American Graffiti. His only work apart from Star Wars. Made in 1973. Set in 1962. I wont say anything about this movie. Just watch it and find yourself 35 years earlier in the same place and the same situation as you would today. 5 on 5.

STANLEY KUBRICK

I had thought of all the great movies STANLEY KUBRICK had made. A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, FULL METAL JACKET, THE SHINING, DR. STRANGELOVE, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, BARRY LYNDON, EYES WIDE SHUT and THE KILLING among many many others. So instead of posting them one by one I thought how about writing up KUBRICK himself. Brilliant. Never fails to surprise you. I am not worthy of reviewing this man. By the way he is also my favourite director.
